Hi guys! I'm building a new PC and I'm having doubts about which mobo to pick. I'm building a PC that will have to last. I'm not going to OC initially, but after a couple of years I plan to do so.

I've done some research and there's a lot of bad blood regarding MSI because of poor QC for laptops from a few years back. I'm buying a motherboard, not a laptop.
Asus on the other hand doesn't have much feature wise compared to MSI.

Which one do you guys think would be the better pick in case of a "future-proof" PC? Did anyone have either of these board die on them yet?

Thanks in advance! :)

There is no futureproofing to speak of, I'd go the Ranger, MSI has been known for poor QC on their mobos going back a few years, they were caught and passed by ASRock back around the end of 2009 early 2010 for number 3 in sales and rather that sink money into QC they have sunk it into advertising and gimmick type add ons as they continue to fall further back. I quit using them for builds entirely after the re-release of the P67 mobos when they sent out a number of models with overly tight DRAM slots, knew about it, yet did nothing about it, if you had one of them and were seeing non-stop boot loops and called - they claimed they had never heard about it - I got about 4 of those mobos, and each time was told - "No, we haven't heard...
