Having a few issues with DirectX (New Builder)

Hi, first off I'm sorry for my lack of knowledge in this area. It's the first time I've built my own PC.

I installed Windows 7 yesterday and found that I'll need a PCI network card to connect to my router. I thought at the time that's not an issue since I have a few games on disc such as Star Wars Battlefront, CoD: World at War, Driver: San Francisco and a few others that I could play whilst I wait for the card to arrive.

When I installed Battlefront, I also installed DirectX 9 however when I clicked on 'Analyse your computer' it said that there was no 3D hardware in the Display devices tab.
I tried to launch the game and it gave me a fatal error.

Next I installed World At War and Mercenaries 2, which both use a more recent version of DirectX and came across the same problem.

I have installed the drivers which came with the Motherboard and Graphics card. Yes, I know they're probably really old but it's just until I can get my internet up and running.

So I'm just wondering.. Do I need internet access to play these games? The computer has never been connected to the internet before and so hasn't been updated.

Here are a few screenshots to better represent what I'm talking about:

I've pretty much just set up my Windows, transferred a few folders over from my old PC and then tried installing a few games on disc. I don't believe I have installed the VC Redist. Do you know which version I would need/where I would find it?

Thanks for the help so far, the Fatal Error message you requested:

I click on 'Play' and it displays this message:

I then click on 'Yes' and the game displays this:

If I try to move the Task Manager to anywhere else on the screen it will... I don't know how to describe it... It will duplicate across where I drag it.
I just press the 'Delete' key once the game is selected on the Task Manager and it will close and asks me if I would like to find solutions to this problem online.

I just installed the vcredist_x64.exe onto the new computer however the error still persists. I clicked on the 'Analyse your computer' icon again and the results are:

It differs from the last test slightly, now saying that the Hard Drive's status is 'Post install (N/A)' when before it passed.

My full spec can be seen on my Amazon Wishlist. That way I don't have to type it out :)

Specs:

I did try to connect my PC to my router via Ethernet cable but there was no connection.

Also, yes it is a Wireless adapter I'll be buying, I don't have a Ethernet port in my room.
I was planning on buying this one:

The tp link adapter is fine.

Your issue here is that the nvidia drivers haven't installed mate.
Those drivers showing are generic VGA drivers hence the 'no 3d hardware' error.

Your other issues which are entirely hardware/purchase related are

1 . the cx430 isn't capable of powering an 8 core fx & a strix 970 - I don't know how you've cabled it but you must be using a molex adapter for the second plug on the GPU - a bad bad idea!.

2. An MSI g43 isnt a good enough board for an 8320 by a long stretch - using a big tower cooler like the evo will make matters worse. These boards have actually been known to catch fire.
