You probably have either a problem with the wireless radio in your router, or more likely a great deal of local interference due to a number of other nearby networks. If you have a Windows machine, download and run the free version of inSSIDer (a wifi analyzer) from HERE to see what signals are around you. You may be able to change to a less used channel to improve your connections.
