UPDATE: I opened the case back up and unscrewed the card From the case. I made sure it was secure, and it works again. Maybe the screws not fitting quite right are slowly pulling it out of its slot?

I have the HIS IceQ Boost Clock Radeon HD 7950. I used it in my older computer and switched it to my new one a few days ago. Immediately it gave my problems crashing during League of Legends, and then during the Witcher 3, and it crashed in maybe half a second during Fur Mark. Each crash would force me to hold my power button down to restart, as the monitor turned black and lost signal, and the audio sounded like a skipping cd.

I was ready to RMA it. I took it out of the case to read the serial number, and stuck it back in. I decided why not and ran Fur Mark. It ran flawlessly. I played 4 games of league, and then booted up the Witcher. The Witcher froze after about 15 minutes, so i decided to try Fur Mark again only to get the "Driver has stopped working and has recovered message after maybe 2 second."

I'm at a loss here. I have the MSI 970 motherboard, an 8 gb stick of HyperX ram, and the TS 650 PSU

Solution
If the PCI-E bracket screws don't line up with the case holes, it's entirely likely you've found the problem.
Solution 1: Use a Dremel or similar tool to enlarge the holes in the cards PCI-E bracket so they align correctly with the threaded holes in the case.
Solution 2: As above but open out the threaded holes in the case, obviously you'll need to obtain a longer screw along with a nut and washer.
Solution 3: (The Bodge) Most cards have quite a lot of metal above and below the actual screw holes, try using the next hole down along with a washer uneder the screw head to lock the card into place, or, at least, support its weight.

That's what I'm thinking. They didn't line up in my old case either and it worked fine, but maybe that was the exception and not the rule. Without screws it just ran the witcher for an hour crash free.
