How much of an increase will there be for gaming systems for the i5 6600K vs i7 6700. I love top end games that have high graphics. Witcher 3, Assassins Creed, Crysis 3, Far Cry 4 etc... This will be running on an ASUS Hero VIII and some GTX 970. Memory will be 16 gig of DDR4 as well. Unsure of the clocking speed to pick on that yet but lets assume whatever system is configured both will be identical so we are comparing apples to apples.
How will performance rate i5 6600K vs i7 6700 for a gaming system MOBO would be the ASUS Hero VIII

if you upload and stream games to twitch then gettings 6700k is better but if dont then 6600k is fine and they perform the same but if you haven't the parts then getting 5820k is better because it has 6 cores it future games it will perform like beast

I think the i7 4790k or 5820k will be good for you. Maybe even the 5960x. If you really want to, go with the i7 6600k
