Blue Screen of Death after format

Solution
I suggest he do the following: Format; install the OS; install the chipset drivers for the MB; install the MB drivers for LAN and other on board devices; install the video card drivers; update the OS over and over until there are no more recommended or essential updates; attach and install other devices (printers, cameras..) and install their software. Once all hardware is up and running check device manager to see that there are no conflicts. Install other software (AV, utilities, games, productivity). Be sure to reboot after each item is installed or updated. Obtain drivers only for the manufacturers web sites. Do not use third party software to get or install drivers. Do not use illegal, bootleg or non licensed software.
