Hi guys i found on a good deal thsi Ram 1600MHZ DDR3 XMP HYPERX SAVAGE 2x4Gb
and i want to add it on my G3258, my question is the Ram MHZ will affect/limit my Overclock?
for instance i want to clock my cpu at 4.2Ghz does 1600 mhz will be enough?
Thanks.

Solution
It won't affect your overclock at all. Overclocking by changing the multiplier doesn't change the memory clock, they're not related in modern processors.

thank you thats exactly was i was looking for.. last cpu i overclocked was Q6600 thats why i ask about MHZ i remember needing higher MHZ for more overcloking to jump form 333x9... :D

1600 is fine, but yes higher freqs can affect an OC, generally very high data rates and large amounts of DRAM, i.e. with 32GB of 2800 on my Z87 rig I can OC to to 4.5, with same of 2666 DRAM I can kick up to 4.6, if I drop to 16GB then it runs 4.7 so yes they can affect the OC, here though it shouldn't be an issue

I just hope that KINGSTON HX316C9SRK2/8 would fit on Asrock Z97 Killer without a problem ,same goes for the G3258 i hope it wont need bios update to accept it...
