I have an AMD Phenom 975 CPU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103923).
Recently my PC's fans (top/back case and CPU fan) don't turn on, I get no POST beeps from mobo speaker and I get no video to monitor. I've had a black screen issue with my PC for months, however, so it's hard to say if it's the CPU at fault here since my getting thermal paste on the cpu fins is a bit recent. My front case fan as well as my GPU's fan work, my HDD powers on, etc.
There's no way that having thermal paste on 2 cpu fins causes all these problems, right?
