I am trying to enable Intel Rapid Start on my PC. I know I need a partition the size of my memory to allocate to the software, but I've had trouble getting this to work as I have only one SSD installed.

I managed to create a partition and label it volume G, and it's the correct size, but I haven't been able to select it in diskpart.exe command prompt as it is classified as "removable media." I've tried formatting it and such, but haven't been able to select the volume to set the correct ID for Rapid Start. Any suggestions?

Just in case anyone ever looks at this again, after poking around, it seems that Intel Rapid Start is exclusively an ultrabook feature, and while your desktop motherboard may come with a setting associated with Rapid Start, the programs needed to manage it on the operating system cannot be downloaded on your desktop.
