I'm currently sporting:

  • i5-3570k OC @ 4.4
    GTX 980ti
    GA-Z77X-UP4TH
    Corsair CX750 Bronze
Some bulky BeQuiet air CPU Cooler
    1tb Samsung SSD
    16GB RAM
    Soundblaster X-FI Soundcard

I'm looking to upgrade my PSU, CPU cooler and Mobo. How does this set up look as a replacement? Do any of you have any better suggestions?

Corsair H105 73.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-cpu-cooler-cw9060016ww

Intel DZ77BH55K ATX LGA1155 Motherboard - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-motherboard-boxdz77bh55k

EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220p21000xr

I'm going with that PSU because I hope to SLI in the future, and I like the layout of that Mobo so that my GPU and soundcard can sit comfortably far away from each other.

I'd be interested in upgrading my CPU too, but from what I can work out there's not much out performing the 3570k for gaming at the moment.

Would love to hear your suggestions!

I don't think there is much to be gained with those new parts, apart from maybe the cooler.

As for the CPU, it would be like me upgrading my 3 year old 3770K, sure a 4790K is a bit faster, but would I see any real world difference ? Probably not.

You have a pretty tasty rig there, personally I'd hold off unless you want to go SLI right now.
