I'm planning a new workstation and gaming rig and I'm thinking of going for 4x4-16gb G.Skill ddr4 ram since they have good pricing and it's specs seem well. My question is what is the difference what is the difference in each of the series of G.Skill ram? Which one will give me the best performance? Will one be better for gaming, another aimed towards people with a strict budget and another be for rendering? I looked at each of them and I can't tell which one is better then the other. I need help finding what is different about the DDR4 Ripjaws 4, Ripjaws V and Trident Z/

If anyone knows the answer, I'd really appreciate it and if anyone wants to recommend some other RAM for me, I would gladly like to hear.

4 is aimed at true Quad channel and will be fine in dual, the RJ V is aimed at dual channel (advanced/secondary timings a little different then the 4 and the Tri Z (aimed at dual/Z170) are aimed at dual use with slightly tighter secondary timings for higher performance. All will will work well with X99 or Z170. Similar approach to the previous, RJ Z aimed at quad(X99) where RJ X at dual and Tri X at dual and higher performance
