So I'm pretty new to building and I just recently finished up my first build. It's going to be a multipurpose computer (mainly for gaming though). I pretty much replaced every component except the hard drive.
When I tried to start it up for the very first time, it didn't start or even make an attempt to power up. We found out that my psu was bad and had to order a new one. Once I put the new psu in, it started up for a split second then turned off. I found out that a front panel usb connector was causing the problem.
My current problem is something I've been troubleshooting on for quite a few days now, and I'm going to describe what happens in detail.
When I start it up it works, all the fans start and it powers up. After about a minute of running it will shut off, then turn back on. But even though it is running, the monitor stays in power saving mode. If I press any button on the side of the monitor it displays, "No signal from computer. Press any key on keyboard or mouse to wake it up"
A light reading bios_a_led1 lights up while it is running (not exactly sure what this means). I don't have a system speaker so I don't hear any beeps. I've tried about everything except switching the monitor because I don't have a spare. I've booted with only one stick of ram, switched out the graphics card, unplugged everything but the cpu, and I still haven't gotten anything different.
My motherboard is brand new and I grounded myself to make sure I didn't short it out. I've made sure the standoffs aren't touching the circuits and no wires are touching. I wiped the thermal paste off of the cpu and replaced it.
I've already tried about everything on that popular troubleshooting list and nothing worked.
Please help!

First off, do you have any spare RAM sticks that weren't in your PC? You might want to take all of RAM sticks from your computer out and put a new one in, see if the PC will boot. Another thing that comes to mind is the failed PSU - you may have ended up frying your motherboard when the PSU failed. If the first thing doesn't yield any results, I strongly suggest taking your PC to a repair shop and have them troubleshoot the problem for you.

The only spare RAM sticks I have are in a VERY old build of my brothers upstairs. It isn't in use and it has some pretty old components and is very dusty. I tried getting them out but they didn't budge. My motherboard seems to be fine since everything except my monitor is working until it restarts.
