I keep getting DNS not responding error when I try to connect to the internet. I have tried every possible solution I could find on the internet at least three times over. My last resort is to reinstall windows 10. If I do this will I lose all my data such as steam games or applications? Is there any way to avoid a reinstall? Pls help

NO!!!!!!

YOu have to manually re-install every program, there is no moving it from one HDD to another because there are specific registry codes that are needed for a program to work. Like I said, just backup anything you want that isnt install-able, do a fresh install with the win 10 iso here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO

Once youve installed windows 10, get all the drivers you need, install them. Then run windows update a couple of times. Then install anti-virus and all your programs again.
Are you on a desktop or a laptop? Some brands have issues with windows 10.

I would say a fresh install would always be a good idea. You will lost all your applications, but everything does doesnt need to be installed you can back up.

Usually, a fresh install fixes everything if done right. Make sure you get all your drivers for your components.

I'm on a desktop. I have a spare hard drive that I intended to use for junk. Can I just copy and paste both of my program files folders from one drive to another and then back again?
