Hi,

My new graphics card doesn't work but my old one still does. It's an MSI r9 380 2GD5T OC and my old one is a MSI hawk r6870.
When I turn on the pc, all the fans turn on, including the ones on the gfx card, but nothing else happens. Not even some beeps I normally get on startup, wich is a system check.

My system:
Motherboard: MSI p67s c43
Intel i7 2600
250GB SSD + 2TB HDD
700W Power Supply OCZ700MXSP

Already tried:
- Deleting old drivers (did it before installing).
- Reinstalling windows.

I hope someone can help me, otherwise I'll have to return my card.
Thanks in advance

That's a fairly good PSU with OK specs. Might be you just got a bad card. If the new card doesn't work, but the old one does, I'd RMA the card for a replacement. For further verification, you could try it on a friend's PC. You wouldn't have to install the driver and all that. Just see if it produces a display at boot.

ya some times them older chipset board may not have there bios to support newer cards or some compatibility issue due to that .. just like guys with z68 boards and the new gtx 900 cards did may look into that aspect of things as well ???

good luck

just looking last bios that gave any Improved VGA card compatibility was back in 2011 ???

with out being able to test the new card in another system that will or may support it no telling
