Hey Guys

I've got two question: Which Gaming Rig is better? And which CPU should I take (i7 6700k, i7 4790k)?

Gaming Rig 1
CPU: i7 6700k / i7 4790k
CPU-Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock
Mainboard: ASUS Z170-P / AsRock Z97 Pro4
RAM: G.Skill Sniper 2x4GB DDR3-1866
GPU: MSI GTX 970 or Sapphire R9 390
PSU: CoolerMaster G650M
SSD: Crucial BX100 250GB
HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB
Case: Sharkoon T28
Keyboard: Roccat Ryos MK Pro, MX-Brown

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Gaming Rig 2
CPU: i7 6700k / i7 4790k
CPU-Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock
Mainboard: ASUS Z170-P / AsRock Z97 Pro4
RAM: G.Skill Sniper 2x4GB DDR3-1866
GPU: Gainward GTX 980 Phantom
PSU: Sharkoon WPM700
SSD: Crucial BX100 250GB
HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB
Case: Sharkoon REX8 Value
Keyboard: Roccat Isku FX

Everything that has been written in Italic is different.

The price of Gaming Rig 1 and 2 are very similar. The i7 4790k is a litte bit cheaper then the i7 6700k

Solution
CPU: i7 6700k / i7 4790k ( depends on budget, only if you can pay for only 5% performance increase that isn't noticeable in games )
CPU-Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock ( OK )
Mainboard: ASUS Z170-P / AsRock Z97 Pro4 ( Asus)
RAM: G.Skill Sniper 2x4GB DDR3-1866 ( A single 8 gb stick would be better from the future upgrade u might do)
GPU: MSI GTX 970 or Sapphire R9 390 ( r9 390 is better here but in rig 2 the 980 beats all of them )
PSU: CoolerMaster G650M ( get a corsair psu this one isnt good )
SSD: Crucial BX100 250GB ( Ur choice )
HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB ( :D )
Case: Sharkoon T28 ( :) )

For 2:
CPU: i7 6700k / i7 4790k (depends on budget)
CPU-Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock (Ok no prob here)
Mainboard: ASUS Z170-P / AsRock Z97 Pro4...

RAM: G.Skill Sniper 2x4GB DDR3-1866 (one stick of 8gb ram to preserve extra slobs for future upgrades)
GPU: Gainward GTX 980 Phantom (Yea)
PSU: Sharkoon WPM700 9 ( this ones not so good get a better psu)
SSD: Crucial BX100 250GB ( :) )

Hey man you got some pretty sweet builds btw but I would say rig 2 is winning. I say this because of the GPU. The 980 is a great card!! But when it comes down to cpu's the benchmarks while gaming aren't noticeable at all from the human eye! But I can tell you in the long run that the i7 4790k will work for years to come!

Today, I'd take the mature 4790k (or 4960k)

In 3 months, after the later stepping MoBos and CPUs are out, I'd take the 6700k / 6600k

I'd take the 970 over the 390 and the 970 is a better bang for the buck than the 980.

Bang 4 Buck rankings
970 - 3.97
970 SLI - 3.48
980 - 2.63
980 SLI - 2.30
980 Ti - 2.42
980 Ti SLI - 2.11

I'd look to improve the PSU and HD in either case.
