Hi,

Having BSOD when I plug in my 2nd stick of G.Skill Ripjaws 4gb 1333 DDR3. I bought the 2nd stick a few months after I finished my built because I wanted to hit 8gb.

It would bsod after a few minutes of use. It would boot up fine, but it seems like as soon as memory load goes past a certain threshold (which probably kicks into the 2nd stick) it would give me a BSOD. This happens especially during gaming when everything runs a bit harder.

Intel i5 2500k (not overclocked)
asus p7z68 deluxe (not updated/flashed)
g-skill ripjaw 4gb 1600mhz + 1 other one not plugged in
corsair 750w hx
evga gtx 570
windows 10

any explanations? Thanks.

Solution
Try going into BIOS and set the stick to 1333 9-9-9-24 and set DRAM voltage to 1.57, save, exit, shutdown then add the second stick and give it a try - it may be that they just don't want to play, it's not a good idea to mix sticks, even if the same exact model
