Basically thinking of purchasing a 500GB SSD But wondering, which is the best value and most reliable. Right now leaning more to the 850 EVO. Any input would be most helpful.

Thanks in advance!

I've got an EVO and MX200 in each in two similar systems and cannot tell which is which without looking. While benchmarks will favor one or the other, the differences are so small as compared with the improvement over a conventional hard disk that the benchmark differences are, in my opinion, meaningless. You have identified two good products from two good companies, and I cannot imagine you will be unhappy with either product. I've used OCZ ssds in prior builds, and while I was generally pleased I had some problems getting the drives to be recognized and so now purchase only Samsung and Crucial drives (though my experience may be out of date). I have had no experience with Sandisk drives and have been disappointed with Corsair Force...

Thanks for the reply! :)
I know to take benchmarks with a grain of salt.
How long have you had your SSDs for?

The OCZ goes back four or five years while the Samsung and Crucial go back something less than two years. I don't know if it helps. but I put only Windows and program files on the SSD and put all my data on a separate, spinning drive. That minimizes the amount of writes to the ssd. Of course, all my laptops have ssds for everything and they work without any problem at all. I have a Crucial in my HP laptop and whatever Toshiba uses in the other.
