how to upgrade my alienware x51 r2 to the max

This is all the info if you need more let me know. im just seeing what i can possibly do. ill work on a budget later. if you can give me a low medium and high budget. so i can figure out the best way to upgrade this pc. (note: i didnt choose to buy it my parents did. im just trying to do the best with what i have.)

If it's the small form factor one you're kinda boned because of the extremely limited space and PSUs that will fit in it are all low power.

Likely the best you could possibly do is put a gtx 750ti in it, and upgrade the ram to 8gbs.

I did a bit of poking around and it seems the system only has a 330W power supply which will limit your choices of graphics card. Running a GTX745 is really pushing the power supply to it's far limit, but will work assuming the chosen GTX745 is not overclocked. Although alternatively, you could use the GTX750TI which is uses the very efficient Maxwell architecture and does not require any auxiliary power connectors.

Another upgrade option to boost game performance, is upgrading the CPU to an i5 but it has to be a low power i5 like the i5-4570S which has a lower TDP, hence not consuming as much power.

my only question is do you think i will be able to play newer games like the witcher 3 rainbow 6 seige battlefront etc. with these upgrades?

I can play witcher 3 just fine on my i3, 750ti, 8gb system.
You'll be able to play those games, just not at the best settings.

the only question i have left is the dimensions fit for the i5 i assume and the gtx570ti or gtx570

%1000 sure, yes.. They bother have the same socket type... They have the LGA1150 socket and that motherboard supports same sockets CPU..
