Hello,
My Spec
I5 2500K @4Ghz
Ram 8Gb
PSU 750W.
Reso 1080p 60Hz
Card that in mind is 290 / 380 4Gb / 280x / GTX 770 / GTX 960. I know 290 all the way but i want to ask question.

1. The problem with radeon 290 is Heat (95c), so i want to ask what brand that has better Non Ref Cooler. in this option is Sapphire Tri X / Asus DC2 / XFX Double Dissipation / Gigabyte WindForce?

2. Move to 380 and 280x. For 280x Vs 380.
R9 380
Memory Bus: 256-bit
Bandwidth: 182.4GB/s
ROPs: 32
Cores: 1792
Texture Units: 112
Vs
R9 280X
Memory Bus: 384-bit
Bandwidth: 288GB/s
ROPs: 32
Cores: 2048
Texture Units: 128.

280x have better Memory Bus, Bandwidth, core, Texture Unit than 380. so it will help for future proof game? instead of 380 feature (like Fully Support Dx12 etc). In Game Performance.

3. For GTX 770 and GTX 960. Both card can compete with 280x and 380. Actually i want to move to Nvidia GTX 770 or GTX 960 but GTX 770 only 2gb and GTX 960 less power raw than other Card in the list. Any Nvidia Card Between 290 <-> 280x/380?

I am Play game with Reso 1080p/900p. My type of Game is FPS, like COD, Battlefield and etc. Still using Windows 7 SP1. So currently i am not interested in DX12 (Full support Win10).

I am not much care with Power (watt), but I care about Heat and Noise.
.......... So any suggestion. No Fanboys Guys.
Regards

290>280x/770>380/960. The 290 is clearly the fastest card of the group. All non reference 290 cooled the card pretty well keeping it in the 80s. 280x and gtx 770 are basically equal and will trade blows depending on the game. The same logic applies for gtx 960 and 380 as these cards are a step down from the 770 and 280x. If the gtx 970 or 390 are available to you, I would take those over any of the cards above.

The Sapphire Tri-X 290 is a great card and you would not have to worry about heat or noise.

Forget the GTX770. The 280x is the next best card and is more capable than any 380 or 960.

The GTX970 is the card I recommend the most for 1080p, but if you can't get that, go for the 290.

Thanks,
right now i am still looking for 290, but in here is hard to find especially non reference one. Wow thats 80c is Hot for me. also if with Reference cooler it will make loud noise. i stay away with this.

about remaining card 280x/770>380/960. So my conclusion is correct?

Maybe i need more another opinion about this.

GTX970 still expansive in here.
thanks with you suggestion.

I can't really speak for the effects of dx 12 since nothing is really available with that api. In all the benchmarks available, 280x outperforms 380.
