2 gpu for 3 monitors or 1?

I current have a r9 280x and I'm considering a 3x1 eyefinity setup (3 monitors in portrait). I'm curious whether or not getting a second 280x would be necessary, the res. for each monitor is 1440 x 900. If it helps I also am using an fx 6300 cpu, 8gb ram, and 1000w psu.

no way man an r9 280x can't even run today's video games at 60fps on 1080p on ONE monitor then

how will it run 3 monitors on 1440p................um yes you could throw in anter r9 280x

since you have a 1000w psu then it can run 3 monitors at 1440p but i can't gurantee anything

on modern video games and programs i think they will run 30-40 fps

oh and yeah if you throw in another r9 280x on one monitor 1440p then it should run great

First of all 1440x900 is not 1440p it's 900p.. And yes, you can add second R9 280x. But I would recommend you selling your current GPU and buying R9 390X and it would enough for your 3 monitors at 900p resolution.
