Does anyone know what the max current/wattage per fan header on the Asus MAXIMUS VIII GENE Micro ATX motherboard is? I'm trying to connect 6, 6.6W Noctua fans with a max current of 0.55 amps and 2, 3.6W Noctua fans with max current of 0.3 amps. I wouldn't be very concerned about putting one 0.3 amp fan and one 0.55 amp fan together on a Y-splitter, but I am concerned about putting 2, 0.55 amp fans together. I couldn't find any information about it online. I would normally just use a fan controller, but I only have 1 external 5.25in bay which is being used, and all of the 3.5in bay fan controllers are not powerful enough to support two fan per channel.
As a last resort I could use the Kingwin FPX-001 8W/channel 3.5in bay fan controller to control 5 fans, and then run the other 3 to the motherboard, but I'd prefer to keep them all together if possible.
