If you choose parts well a $2000-$2500 gaming build will get a very high end gaming build. Spending more will return virtually no performance gain
I know this, however, spending more will provide a computer that will last much longer...
You can spend $10k today and waste over 1/2 your budget on things that wont help gaming performance at all. However in a few years time it will still be older generation technology outperformed by cheaper current parts available at that time. You can get the same gaming performance today with enough left over to buy another top end gaming pc in 3-4 years time which will significantly out perform anything of today.
LOL! Can you tell the future or something? I seriously doubt any of the things you just said.
Well, everything he said is true. This is how it is in the world of technology, everything gets dated really fast. And I do not appreciate you being rude, we are just trying to help you...
I am not a troll... I do not have too much money. There is no way you can have too much money if you earn all of it fair and square. I do have brains, we would like to get a decent computer. We are just not getting a prebuilt because I would like to spend time with my son and build a computer. It just feels much more personal that way, and gives you a sense of accomplishment.
This build should handle playing at 4k without any issues. Spending any more than this will not yield any gains performance wise for gaming.
