I found a used Geforce 9800 gx2 on craigslist for 20 dollars. I know it's a dinosaur of a card, but would it be better than the Intel HD 4600 integrated chip? I currently have a GTX 970, but I have a really bad habit of upgrading my stuff every year and selling off my old stuff, so I was thinking about buying the 9800 gx2 as a temporary transition card to use between the point of selling my old card, and waiting for a new to ship to me (which seems to take an eternity)

I couldn't find any information regarding the topic vs the gx2, but I found some people suggesting the hd 4600 beats a single 9800 configuration, though I honestly find that kind of hard to believe. I used to have a Radeon HD 4850, which is *somewhat* comparable to the 9800, and gaming on the hd 4850 vs the 4600 was a night and day difference. I'm talking stutter on low settings with the 4600, vs playable medium to high settings with the radeon.

Like I said, I know this card is a dinosaur but I'm not looking at it for a primary card. Just as a temporary card to use if I choose to sell my 970 in the future, or if anything were to ever happen to it I would have this as a crude backup. And honestly, I kind of want to have it simply for the sake of having it. Collecting computer parts is my guilty obsession.
