upgrade from i5 2400 worth it?

hello all,

i currently have these specs
i5 2400 3.1ghz
ram kingston 2X4gb 1333mhz
p61a-d3 motherboard from gigabyte
gigabyte g1 970gtx

everything runs very good but i wonder what %boost would i get if i upgraded to i7-3770 with same ram and mobo that only support for DDR3 1333. will i notice good gains in games and other stuff i care more about gaming.

Not a ton really, not worth itimo; if you have a quad core since and including Nehelem i7 920 you are still good to go for gaming by a long shot. Comparison between a 2500K and 3770K in Dirt3, Civ V, Metro 2033 etc. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/551?vs=288 which should roughly equate to the upgrade comparison.
