I have lenovo y50 1080p non touch model with intel i7 4710HQ processor and gtx 860m graphics card. It is 1 year old and now it is behaving strange. I used throttleStop app only to monitor the processor temp. When i use it for surfing and normal stuff all works fine but when i start a game processor temperature jump at 97-99 degres and system shuts down. I also noticed that the right side of laptop(right of numerical keyboard) is very hot.

Poor cooling is a known design flaw in the Y50. Get a chill pad and use a can of compressed air to blow out the laptop vents/heat sink.
