Computer overheating. Possibly due to integrated VGA. Need help.

So basically as the title states i believe my computer is overheating,

So before anything else,

SPECS:

Mainboard: MSI NF725M-P31 w/ integrated nvidia geforce 7025 VGA
CPU: AMD Phenom II X2 250 3.0 ghz
GPU: EVGA GTX 650 Ti Boost Superclocked 2gb vram
DRAM: 2x Apacer 2gb 800 MHZ
PSU: ISO 500PP 450W

(yes don't laugh at the poor poverty stricken 20 year old who can't afford a better pc i know i need one.)

I have been using this setup for 3 years with no issues.

DETAILS:

Problem i am experiencing is my PC randomly restarting when gaming, sometimes i can play for about an hour and a half before it restarts sometimes barely 10 minutes and it restarts.

Of course like any DIY guy i googled for answers and basically all i could get was, Faulty PSU, Overheating, or Drivers conflicting.

As of today i have ruled out the faulty psu and driver conflicting (via reinstalling windows and only installing neccessary crap).

Reason why i believe it is my integrated VGA is well simply because i open up my pc and check everything to feel whats hot and every time my pc restarts my integrated vga is finger burning hot even with my on-board vga disabled in the bios its still generating more heat than any other part of my pc for some reason.

I have used Open hardware monitor to check temps and the temps look good for everything else,

CPU sits at about 24-29C at max when gaming (have a nice cpu cooler),
GPU Sits at between 60-75C when gaming under 100% load,

I've checked my event log/checked for dump files, event log only traces one real problem everytime: Session "Microsoft-Windows-Setup" stopped due to the following error: 0xC000000D as for dump files none are created which is one of the reasons i believe the overheating is the problem,

People have recommended i disable automatic restarting in-hopes of letting the pc create a dump file then to no avail only thing that happens is my computer freezing and the audio going crazy with stutter.

Solution
I'd suggest RMAing your mobo if you can or buying a new one. another option is to try and find better heatsink for the integrated gpu or try to ghetto fit a small fan on it.

I need to get a new everything lol, think i might ghetto fit a fan on it or at least a fan blowing specifically on it, space on a micro atx motherboard with a full length GPU isn't plenty unfortunately :c main thing i can't understand is why its over heating in the first place its not even supposed to drawing any power.

I would say it has been over 3 years since this board was purchased? I am willing to bet the vga card is throwing all its heat on that heatsink causing it to over heat. strap a 120mm fan to that heatsink and possibly try to find some plexi glass to put a small divider between both gpus.

should fix your issues

Reapplying thermal paste on the heatsink could be helpful too. Do you have a good airflow in your case? Keeping your case open could also help in keeping it cooler.

Yep board is definitely older than 3-4 years think it might be going on 5, unfortunately can't mount a fan directly on the sink :/ have about 50mm of working space between my cpu cooler's bracket and my gpu and the heatsink for the vga is in between those 2.

Yeah i have pretty good airflow got 3 120MM fans 1 for intake and 2 for exhaust, currently looking at thermal paste figure if i'm gonna get some i might as well apply thermal paste to my cpu and gpu as well thinking about getting some new higher rpm fans as well, this heatsink i would guess is sitting at about 50-60C just idling.

Okay, so i just found something strange a noise, never noticed it before because i use a headset but i noticed when i run a game putting my pc under heavy load a short circuit like noise is coming from my psu.

this is known as coil whine, it's pretty normal on psus and gpus. in psus this happens when the psu reaches a certain load where the coils on the transformers start to vibrate causing different kinds of buzzing noises. this is pretty normal and doesn't indicate of a any faulty component.

Ahhh okay just the first time i've really noticed it so it was odd to me.

Anyhow so basic consensus is to get more cooling onto the vga heatsink via fan/thermal paste, I shall order parts tomorrow then.

Well, I come baring hopeful news, completely wiped hdd and cleaned the psu of what little dust there was and so far its looking good just did a stress test while i was making dinner for the past hour and a half with no problems at all gpu and cpu were running at 100% constantly gpu hit temp of 74C, CPU only hit 28.6C, Open hardware monitor and cpu-z are giving me some weird readings though i'm guessing bugs cause according to cpu-z my cpu hits 45Ghz per core, and hardware monitor is showing 18Ghz per core, but ye w/e gonna 12 hour stress test it starting tonight will keep this open just in-case it crashes.

Good to hear some improvements.

Well it crashed again 3 hours into the stress test not sure if i should be happy it lasted 3 hours or if i should be disgusted, Maybe running a gpu and cpu stress test at the same time was a little extreme, gonna keep gaming see what happens will keep you guys informed.
