Hey Interwebs,

This is my first time post on any thread whatsoever, and also my first build ever.
My goal is to make a small form factor pc that I can take with me (because my parents are divorced), and still packs a punch and can keep me gaming for a couple of years on high/medium.

Here's my build:

Processor: Intel I5 4590 http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/Intel-Core-i5-4590-4x-3-30GHz-So-1150-BOX_960036.html

Graphicscard: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 970 Mini http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/4096MB-Gigabyte-GeForce-GTX-970-Mini-Aktiv-PCIe-3-0-x16--Retail-_982973.html

RAM: 2x4 G.Skill Ares Kit http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/8GB-G-Skill-Ares-DDR3-1600-DIMM-CL9-Dual-Kit_799873.html

HDD: 1TB Seagate Desktop HDD http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/1000GB-Seagate-Desktop-HDD-ST1000DM003-64MB-3-5Zoll--8-9cm--SATA-6Gb-s_775365.html

SSD: Kingston SSDNow V300 http://www.amazon.de/Kingston-SV300S37A-120G-interne-SSD-Festplatte/dp/B00A1ZTZOG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1440945206&sr=8-1&keywords=kingston+v300+120gb

Case: Cooler Master Elite 130 http://www.amazon.de/Cooler-Master-Elite-PC-Geh%C3%A4use-RC-130-KKN1/dp/B00DJ6A88G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1440944625&sr=8-1&keywords=coolermaster+elite+130

Power Supply: Corsair CX430M http://www.amazon.de/Corsair-430Watt-Modular-Bronze-Netzteil/dp/B00ALYOYMU/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1440944673&sr=8-1-fkmr1&keywords=Corsair+CX+430W+80%2B+Bronze+Certified+Semi-Modular+ATX

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo http://www.amazon.de/Cooler-Master-Hyper-CPU-K%C3%BChler-RR-212E-16PK-R1/dp/B0068OI7T8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1440947008&sr=8-1&keywords=cooler+master+hyper+212+evo

I already have a Windows copy.

So my main question is: Will everything fit?
Since its a mini ITX case i would like to know this before i buy everything xD.
This is my first time so I'm quite a noob in all of this, so I'd also like to know if there are better parts for the same price, or similar parts for a lower price.
Take note i live in Europe, so ill need European sites, and not English ones because they have pounds so the price won't be the same.
I was also wondering if all the cables come included with the parts or do you have to buy them separately?
And do you guys think the temperatures will be fine, assuming i do good cable management.

Thanks for all the answers upfront :D

Sam

where is your motherboard ?
PSU you picked is low quality and i would get atleast 500w for GTX 970
Also you dont need aftermarket cooler stock will be fine unless its hot were you live i would get aftermarket cooler but not sure EVO will fit in your case

you get all cables you need with motherboard or PSU (if you use modular one on non modular cables are attached on PSU)

What is you budget in € ?
I see you use german sites. So can i build you a PC with link from Geizhals.de ?

I gave you Geizhals.de links because if you go to store via this site, components are a bit cheaper

CPU: https://geizhals.de/intel-core-i5-4460-bx80646i54460-a1050218.html
RAM: https://geizhals.de/crucial-ballistix-sport-dimm-kit-8gb-bls2cp4g3d1609ds1s00-a723497.html
Mobo: https://geizhals.de/asrock-h97m-itx-ac-90-mxgtf0-a0uayz-a1111362.html?hloc=de
GPU: https://geizhals.de/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-970-mini-gv-n970ixoc-4gd-a1185383.html?hloc=de
SSD: https://geizhals.de/samsung-ssd-850-evo-120gb-mz-75e120b-a1194259.html
HDD: https://geizhals.de/seagate-desktop-hdd-1tb-st1000dm003-a686480.html
PSU: https://geizhals.de/sea-sonic-g-series-g-550-550w-atx-2-3-ssr-550rm-a830688.html?hloc=de

TOTAL: 817.43€ (parts) + 20€ shipping

Didnt add a case because Mindfactory.de have 20€ per package so you would pay 40€ for parts and case, so i think it would be better to buy case in some other shop with cheaper shipping like Computerunivers or Amazon.de where you can get free shipping for few things not sure about Cases. But i think the best option would be if you buy Case in Netherlands if you have free shipping there or if you can pick it up in store.

i took a look at cases up to 50€ and the best two seem to be CM Elite 130 and Thermaltake Core V1

Thanks for the parts man.
That does look good indeed.
It would be nice if you could advise a good case, but if its like 90 euros, thats a little expensive i.m.o
Also, if you know a good screen thats 1080p, 60Hz for as cheap as possible, that would be rly nice too.

Hi Bsod1,

So what would be the benefit of taking this build over the other one?
Except of course the fully modular power supply u mentioned xD
And also, since a lot of parts come from mind factory, are the shipping costs 8 euros for every part even if you order them all at once?

I would say yes, you get 200mm fan in front with Thermaltake Core V1 which can move a lot more air than 120mm fan you get with CM elite 130.

Here are the Monitors i would get. they are from azerty.nl because Mindfactory would also charge you another 20€ for shipping the Monitor.

Picked the ones with HDMI connection so you wont need to use bulky VGA or DVI cables.

https://azerty.nl/2-1054-831968/acer-ka220hq-led-monitor-2.html (Cheapest 1080p, 60hz, 5ms or lower response time with HDMI connection)

or you can get this one its IPS monitor, so it has better viewing angles and better colors so the picture will look more realistic

https://azerty.nl/2-1054-809445/lg-22mp57vq-p-led-monitor-.html

O and here are both cases and i leave decison to you which to buy, and so you wont need to pay 20€ for shipping the case

https://azerty.nl/8-1831-731009/thermaltake-core-v1.html
https://azerty.nl/8-1831-641294/cooler-master-elite-130.html

Mindfactory shipping is not 8€ its 20€ per package so if you order whole PC with parts, case and monitor. They will put all the parts i one box, case in 2nd boy and monitor in 3rd box so total of 3 boxes you would pay 60€ for shipping.

Also fully modular wont make any difference, only difference between fully modular PSU and semi modular is that on fully modular you can remove all cable, on semi modular you can remove all cable except essential ones which you need to power a PC so 24-pin motherboard cable and 8-pin CPU cable

Well, the thermal take looks better and if it has better airflow i guess the choice is obvious xD
And the screens look nice, do you think IPS is worth extra 20 euros?
Because it seems very little extra if the screen is way better
