Will my AMD Fx-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor work with my Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard?

I am trying to build a gaming PC and I need to know if the AMD Fx-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor Black Edition will be compatible with a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard. PCPartPicker is saying "Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs" and I don't know what that means. Please help

Yes, fx 6300 is compatible with that board.

I have this exact setup currently, along with a Sapphire Radeon Dual-X R9 280x video card and plays most games on high-to-ultra settings. Runs excellent so I recommend it.
