Win10:
I built this computer (see links below) and the stock fan had gone out so I replaced it with an after market one from amazon cleaned my CPU and heat sink (had to remove to install fan) with 90% rubbing alcohol, put on thermal compound Diamond 7, and spread evenly across heat sink and reinstalled onto CPU, Bios is reading 65 C at idle but AMD AOD reads different, I have included a screenshot and links to my hardware setup.

Below is an image of my readings during idle:

Not really sure if its overheating it will just shut down and not let me turn it back on for about a minute.

My Build Can be found Here: (Including Replacement Fan)

I thought it might be a heat sink issue, the stock might not be able to keep up? So I ordered an Cooler Master Hyper T4 I am not really sure if its compatible, I seem to have the clearance but after some research I have seem people going with the Cool Master Hyper 212 Evo, should I return my order and get this one instead if this seems to be the problem?

Have you been messing about with amd overdrive settings? I've the same processor as you and I've disabled turbo boost. as stock across the board it's 17.5 x multiplier running at 3500 Ghz per core. your amd readings don't look right. Before you buy an after market cooler make sure it fits your case first. I've just about 20mm clearance on my case with a noctua cooler. Thats something I didn't even factor in but luckily it fits. quality fan coolers with big heat sinks are huge compared to stock coolers.

First: reseat your cooler and paste with just the dot method then go to bios and reset everything to default. amd overdrive discard all changes and reset to default.
