I'm building my first PC and parts have been ordered, but I'm trying to prepare for OS installation. I was searching similar threads, and I found a website where one can download the Digital River editions of Windows 7, right here: http://mirror.corenoc.de/digitalrivercontent.net/

I downloaded, en_windows_7_professional_x86_dvd_x15-65804.iso, and burned it to a usb using Rufus. I found a website MMOGA, selling Windows 7 Professional OEM 32/64 bit key for $22.53: http://en.mmoga.net/Software/Windows/Windows-7-Professional-32-64-Bit.html . I just wanted to know if when I install the OS and am asked for the product key, whether or not the key MMOGA gives me will work.

Thanks in advance!

Well you probably saved yourself a few headaches going this route in any case as the update to windows10 from a previous version is anything but flawless.
I am glad I could help you through this in any case.

I found win10 pro for free on my desktop so *shrugs* anythings possible.
J/k

If you don't enter a key when you install win7 it gives you 1 month free trial before it is invalid. At any time during that same month or even after you should be able to enter your key for the same version you install and it will validate as genuine. The install of windows7 doesn't care where it comes from it verifies through the Product Activation Key. Just be certain the key is for the exact same version of windows7 (i.e. Home Premium, Pro, Ultimate) the key will be good for both 32 bit (x86) or 64 bit (x64) versions of either so that doesn't matter.

But in reality if the key is that cheap it may be they are recycling keys off old wrecked destroyed or otherwise no longer used computers... I just recently bought an OEM win 7 pro x64 install disk from a vendor on amazon and the disk was packaged like new and was new... but the product activation key sticker looked like it came straight off a 4 or more year old at the least used system. It wasn't even really sticking to the peel off backing on the CD sleeve. I payed less then $50 USD and was thinking it was a pretty good deal... free shipping! The thing installed on my system miraculously enough though I had to validate using the telephone number sequence thing. But it worked. I was worried. Best believe. LOL
This is a case of buyer beware as I can't guarantee you'd have the same luck. I say go cheap if you can... but be wary. Too cheap may not be worth it in the end. But hey if it works... you get that win10 I was telling you about free.

Oh... BTW if you go this route that is a much better deal then I got by far. Be sure to tell us how it gos if you do it.
