1080P on youtube shows weird green black and purple pixels and skews the image

So ive had this problem for a while now and im not sure what category it should really fit in but whenever i try and play 1080p viddeos on youtube the images get skewed and the image has green purple black pixels on it,

ive done a google search but i havnt been able to word it and have gotten nowhere.
720p works fine but 1080 and 1440 p dont.

hmm, I have seen that before, is it overclocked at all? what is your card and power supply?

im on a laptop dell inspiron 7000. it says the card inside is a intel hd 4400 but when i canyourunthis it says i have a intel hd 5500 installed. it shouldnt be overclocked

That should not be doing that at 1080p, something here is wrong. I would contact dell, because integrated graphics are supposed to be fail safe, and if they are failing, then a whole lot could be messed up.

CPU temp seems high there, what were you doing when it was like that? I would tell Dell you are getting graphics artifacts with integrated graphics, and see what they say. it should still be all under warranty.

well laptops are always not great at cooling, but there is still something wrong with the video, as I said contact dell and see if they cant get someone to fix it.

Have you tried playing 1080p videos from other sites? Vimeo? Or download a 1080p video and play it natively? The specific nature of the problem does make me suspect a hardware issue.

Try turning on/off hardware video rendering in Flash.

Here are instructions for Chrome, which has flash built in. (These say how to turn it on, but it's the same process to turn it off). That'll make the computer render the video in software, helping isolate if this is due to faulty hardware.

If it still happens with hardware acceleration turned off, then it's probably not a hardware problem. My next suggestion would then be to try installing an up-to-date codec pack. Though my understanding is that YouTube's flash playback doesn't rely on codecs.

I installed the codecs and it still does it. I even watch video on 720p and it still does this with them artifacts. I disabled the hardware acceleration but no change again.
