I've had an adware-ish virus on my computer for some time now, and I've had the computer almost a year. I had eradicated the virus a while ago but it popped back up about a month ago. It's one of those goes away but comes back with a different name things. It's root folder, the first one to show up, was called "CheapME" but it has evolved almost a hundred times and now it's called "DiscountRatio" It is supposed to show up as an extension, a installed program and a folder under program files(x86) but none of them are there. I've ran Malwarebytes and CCleaner four times now but it seems as though it doesn't exist to those programs. Also, it only affects chromium-based browsers, which is all I use because IE and Firefox have their own set of issues.

It seems to me that you are running without an anti-virus program running full time. Otherwise, you would not be getting viruses.

Next thing is I went to Google, and typed in CheapME and it came back with something about removing it. Have you tried that?

Third thing is have you installed a good Anti-virus program yet?

Fourth thing is a went to Google and typed in DiscountRatio and it came back with something to remove it. Have you tried that?

Fifth thing is have you installed a good Anti-virus program yet?

Sixth thing...
