High fluctuating CPU temps while idle

Recently applied some thermal paste along with purchasing a new heatsink and fan for my cpu. the temperatures were very cool. idling around 20-30 c and 45-55 while gaming which fits my cpu specs perfectly. About a week ago I moved and had my computer sitting in a hot uhual all day and now my cpu temps are much hotter, not in catastrophic shutdown levels but around 40-50 idle and close to 60c gaming. What could be the issue here? The room I've moved into is a lot hotter than the last due to poor insulation. Would that heavily factor the temps this much though? Would sitting in the hot uhaul resting on its side dry out the thermal paste? Please help.

All other things (e.g. fan speed) being the same, heat transfer rate is proportional to temperature differential. So if you were getting 20-30 C idle temps in a 15 C room, then you would expect 40-50 C idle temps in a 35 C room (+20 C across the board).

I would reapply paste and make sure everything is screwed down tight. It sounds like the vibration during the move shook something loose. Not uncommon when you have a heavy object (heat sink) held on under spring tension by a few screws.
