I am using meu torrent from downloading torrent file. Recently my downloading speed is terribly slow. It shows a message saying that " Not Connectable. A firewall/router is limiting your network traffic. You need to open up a port." I am using windows xp sp2. I do not know what to do? Please help. It may be mentioned here I am using cable broadband and I am using tp link router tl wr841 n. But with the use of router or without use of router in both cases result is same.

In Control Panel there is an icon named Windows Firewall. Click that and you will see if it is turrned on or not. If it is not, you may have another anti-virus utility which has taken over.
Either way, something is slowing the torrent down because of the content because it's being scanned for malware while it is downloading.
Torrent content sometimes contains malicious content - what are you trying to download?
Try downloading a simple FTP file from this site http://speedtest.ftp.otenet.gr/ by downloading the 1Gb file and see how long that download takes.
