Hi,

Well it seems I have plugged my HDD to SATA 0 and SSD to SATA 1. I though I was sure about it untill I checked the system and pc.

If I open up my computer case and unplug only the SATA cables, will I have to do anything first or take something into account? Because I'd like to have best out of my storage performances too.

So is it safe to change SATA cables? I want SSD on SATA 0 :)

Would like to know if I can go directly or watch out what I should do before and if it will effect my pc or startup.

Thank you in advance

P.S I think I might buy another SSD or HDD (Preferable a bigger capacity SSD but I don't know how to transfer data to another SSD)

:)

Unless your SATA0 and SATA1 are differing sata speed ports(Which i HIGHLY doubt they are) You won't find any difference changing your cords, in terms of speed. They only reason to change them is personal preference.

To change them, simply power down the PC, remove the power cable from the wall. TOUCH the metal part of your case with your hand to discharge any static electricity, then change the cables. Nothing really major about it. Once done with that, replug your PC, and power up.

Thank you alot, all SATA connections are same speed everything is all the same luckily. Yeah It annoys me having a HDD connected to a SATA 0. I think I kinda rushed it or mabye I have switch the cables and diden't pay attention haha gonna change it soon :)

Going to buy a SSD/HDD in the future too so yeah I think I will do it all at once so I dont have open my case multiple times :)

Cheers
