I7 4790K 4.7Ghz temps

Ok so I recently got a I7 4790K and decided to overclock it I am currently sitting at 4.7ghz with a voltage of 1.175 Fully stable however when I run prime95 26.6 my temps are in the mid 70s I am using a H100i gtx for cooling it while gaming (Battlefield 4, Black ops 3 beta) My temps are in the mid 50s so I want to know are these good temps or should they be lower. Thanks

  1. That sounds about right, especially given the overclock. Those temps are safe
  2. That's great, especially the low voltage for that overclock. Prime 95 26.6 is harsh. Download ASUS RealBench for a 'real' stress-test.

Ok fantastic I real run that and see what I get
  4. Hi! Just to give you some reassurance, I also have a 4790k and it does 4.7ghz at 1.18v. It looks like we both hit the silicon lottery! My temps using realbench get to about 65 in a room that is 20ish c. I'm curious though, have you pushed yours further? At 1.29v I can do 4.9ghz totally stable but the temps are nasty, mid to high 70s average when stress testing. What sort of temps do you get at those voltages?
