yes it will, when you sue that much RAM any other programs that launch will not have enough to run at full speed. so if it seems slow now, the you should try to get more RAM. but do you have a 32 but or 64 bit OS? 32 bit OSes will only take up to 4 GB or RAM.

yeah, then you can easily upgrade to 8GB or so, that is normal RAM usage if all of you programs are running.
