Okay so I'm trying to clean install windows 7

I boot from DVD/CDROM

After that, windows loads the files but then I can't get passed the starting Windows screen.

Sometimes it freezes 10 seconds after the logo is fully shown(Optical drive sounds like a fast fan till freeze) and sometimes it gets passed the loading but shows nothing but a black screen( monitor still on)

I'm starting to worry that my motherboard is messed up :(

Completely new HD with cloned files

Disconnect the hard drive. Power on the pc, go into the bios---> boot priority---> make it boot from cd/dvd drive first

If the setup file loads this time, the disc/cd drive is not the problem (should help narrow it down)

try using usb ... I think you have a faulty DVD.

Ok, its either your cd drive or the disc is faulty. If you have another computer lying around, try the disc in there to see if it is working. Disc works? then the cd drive is most likely the problem

As above, you can try burning an iso windows setup file to a bootable usb using rufus https://rufus.akeo.ie/ (another computer required)

Remember to put your hard drive back in, and modify the boot settings back to hard drive second.

Okay , thanks for the help so far. Going to try and run the disc on an old pc
I would also like to add that I got another BSOD after the starting windows screen

That would help if you could possibly list the error code found on the bsod

0x0000000A
0x0000001E
0x0000003B
0x000000F4

These are the errors I've caught in action(video)

On my old PC, I can't seem to select the optical drive as an boot device.

When I press f12 to pick, it shows me
Generic-Compact
Generic-SM/xD-Picture
Generic-SD/MMC
Generic-MS/MS-Pro/HG
Generic-SD/MMC/MS/MSPRO

Although in bios I set optical drive to 1st boot device and have the hard drive removed

You could try plugging in the hard drive again then boot from the cd on the old pc

Tried :(, I believe this optical drive doesn't work then.

I remember when I use to have the windows CD in my drive

my computer read it fine, It would ask me if I wanted to run the exe on the cd or so

Going to try to reset my bios on my computer now

I hooked up the hard drive back up and tried once more to do the startup repair, blue screen 0x00000124 after Microsoft corporation screen( haven't reset bios yet)

*reset bios to default*, restarts>startup repair>freeze while loading>hit restart button>start windows normally>loading finishes, monitor turns off(no sound of windows starting)>restart button>bios, set boot to CDROM, save>Loading windows files>starting windows>logo loads and glows for 5 seconds then freeze>keyboard/mouse lighting goes off and my pc restarts
