Hey there!
I'm new to overclocking and i'm trying to overclock my gtx 970 from Asus
So i use Gpu Tweak to overclock and Unigine Heaven to test it
Currently i have
Memory Clock MHz = 8010 (Offset: 1000)
Core Clock MhZ = 1450 (Offset: 197)

And it went up to 67 degrees maximum while running unigine heaven

i tried to go 1500mhz coreclock but it crashed while benchmarking so i went back to 1450mhz.

Any tips? am i doing this right?
Thanks

I tried 3dMark11
No overclock : 12069
Overclocked: 12023
So it gives me less score when overclocked, i am doing something wrong?

How to overclock any GFX card....

1. Type "Guru3D [your card name]\om the search window of your browser.
2. Go to the link or ling for similar card
3. Go to overclocking page
4. Input the settings they used
5. If ya crash, relax settings ... if ya don't try inching up if ya want

With AfterBurner we applied:

Temp Target 80 Degrees C
GPU clock +150 MHz
Power limiter 120%
Mem clock +450 MHz
Volatge + 37 Mv
FAN RPM 50% (remains silent)

Core Clock 1264MHz
Boost Clock: ~1443MHz
Memory Clock: 8002 MHz

You'll need an MSI Gaming 4G or Gigabyte G1 970 to break 1500. There are physical differences on the PCBs which are...

And yes ... you can get lower benchmarks with higher clocks because you may be high enough to trigger thermal or power throttling
