Hey all, so I built a new gaming pc and I currently load from an ssd. When I installed some drivers, and maybe some directx packages something messed up the bios boot menu but I can't figure out what it is.

So when I first start up the pc, I get a screen that says that windows failed to load or something to that extent and I only have two options, click enter, which does nothing, or hit exit which will make the pc reboot and end up at the same black screen. However when I click exit then keep mashing f12, I get into the boot menu and then I select my ssd. After this everything runs flawlessly. It boots windows and everything. But if I shut down the pc and start it up again the same thing will happen.

*note: This happened when I load off of the hdd also, not just the ssd which is why I thought it would be an incompatibility issue with windows 7 and some driver.

did you move old hard drive over from the old pc to the new one?? if you did you have to back up your data and reload windows. if it was a clean install of windows check to see if you installed windows in ide mode or achi mode on the sata controler. if it was ide and you changed it to achi mode windows will fail to start. in the windows boot device in the bios is the ssd set as the first boot device or windows boot manager...if it the boot manager what drive is it trying to boot from. sometime when you have two drives if your not carefull some of windows boot files can be installed on your data drive.
