Hi All,
I recently updated my BIOS and I'm finding that my ram speed is being downgraded. I'm using 2 sets of RAM in my build:
2 x 4 gb Patriot 1866Mhz 1.5V (10-11-10-30) DDR3
2 x 8 gb G.Skill 1866 Mhz 1.5V (10-11-10-30) DDR3

I chose this RAM because it had the same speed and timing and its frustrating to see the Patriot downgraded to 1600Mhz and the GSkills to 1333Mhz.

Patriot is in slots DIMM_A1/DIMM_B1
GSkills is in slots DIMM_A2/DIMM_B2

Is it a problem with the DIMM placement? Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Check in CPU-Z free app, on the Memory page, to find what the DRAM is actually running at. What you are seeing, the 1333 and 1600 are the default boot values of the DRAM. Let us know what they are actually running at (prob 1333 (unless you have XMP enabled) and we can see if we can get them up to 1866
