I want to run the BEST games on the HIGHEST graphics. I may be doing a bit of editing/streaming also.

Intel Core i7 5930k ( now i7 6700k)
Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2A2133C13R 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 Red
MSI X99A GODLIKE Gaming RGB Motherboard
MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6GB ( 2x )
Corsair Hydro Series H110i GTX 280mm Liquid CPU Cooler
Samsung 850 EVO Series 500GB 2.5in SSD
Antec High Current Gamer 900W Power Supply HCG-900

I'm not sure if this is the best CPU Intel Core i7-5960X 3.0GHz 8-Core Processor or do I go with the 6core 3.5ghz, or do I go with an even older style i7 4790 etc.. I do not have great knowledge with computers and I want to build a gaming beast :)
Do I need to run 2x or 4x graphics cards or just the 1? Higher power supply? Overkill on the motherboard or not good enough..? Too many cores, not enough GHZ ?
Please give me your answers and/or things I should include that I haven't :)

Note; I want this mainly for gaming, 20% editing/streaming

You wont use the integrated graphics. No one does for gaming because they suck. :p

You'll get 1 or 2 980tis depending on your budget.

E: And yes, the 6700k needs a board with the 1151 socket.

MSI Gaming M5 is a very nice board for that. :)

Sorry, could I get a bit of information as why I shouldn't go with 4x graphics cards or even 2, a different CPU, i'm just not sure I have been reading a lot of different things lately. I just want to be 110% sure I can run any game like BF4 etc on ULTRA and the BEST fps

Go for an i7 6700k for the CPU. Games dont benefit from having 6 or 8 cores in 99% of the time and the way higher clockrates of the 6700k will help you @4k resolution. You can still OC alot if you feel like with that cooler but even stock clockrates should be fine with the 6700k.

RAM is totally fine 16gb is good @4k. Anything below that would cause problems.

Normally a 980ti does fine @4k in most of the games but you wont be able to max out some games and still get stable 60fps with any single GPU out at the moment if you play on 4k. If you dont care about money in this build i would recommend getting a second 980ti and put them into SLI to get max performance in every game at ultra settings.
Going 3way or even 4way SLI is usually not recommended because the benefit from the third/fourth card isnt nearly is big as from the second one. Scaling gets worse the higher you go. So 2 cards is the way to go.

The PSU can stay it's a very high quality one and 900w is enough for SLI 980tis even with everything OCd.

Okay, so if I get a I7 6700k I would have to change my motherboard is that correct?

I have looked at the i7 6700k but people are saying" he Intel Core i7-6700K processor features integrated HD 530 GPU. While this GPU is not fast enough to run latest games at full resolution, it can be used for casual gaming and 3D apps."

Thanks so much, so I will go with the i7 6700k & MSI Gaming M5 motherboard and will everything else be compatable in the original post such as powersuppy, ddr4 ram etc and two 980ti's

Edit: is the MSI Z170A-Gaming M7 Motherboard. Better :) ?

Yes, the rest will sitll be compatible and work together fine. :)

Have fun building.

E: Make sure you get the Z170 version of the MSI Gaming 5 motherboard, because thats the one with the correct socket.

Only difference betweend the M5 and the M7 is that the M7 has one USB 2.0 port more and 1 HDMI port more.

He only need one HMDI/DP port for SLI setups and still gets 6xUSB3.0 + 6xUSB2.0 with the M5. So id go for the M5. :)

Only go for the M7 if you have 13 USB devices connected. :D

Sorry, I am not sure if I should make another post or not, I am unaware as to what case I should buy to fit all of this in, I was told the graphics cards alone are HUGE. Thank you :)
