I need help about using 1333mhz and 1600mhz ram

i just bought a lenovo g50-70 laptop which has a 4gb 1600mhz ram installed and i have 1 spare ram with 1333mhz from my previous laptop. can i install the spare ram on the lenovo laptop??? will it affect the motherboard????

You will have to tweak the usage of the ram to 1333MHZ for all sticks, so in theory it should work, but if the stick is made by another manufacturer expect it not to work.

You will have to go to BIOS to change the setting. Ofcourse expect less performance if it does due to the fact you are lowering the speed of your new stick.
