How much can I overclock a Gigabyte 970 Windforce 3x OC?

Hello!

Just like the title says, my questions is how much can I overclock a Gigabyte 970 Windforce 3x OC?
I'm a beginner at overclocking and still don't quite know what are the limits to how much you can increase a GPU's power. I'm mostly worried about tinkering with voltage since I've heard that wrong settings can damage the card.

if you use MSI afterburner, or any standard OC software you will not be able to fry the card. it might overheat, but with a cooler like that, if you watch the temps you will be fine. do not be afraid to max the voltage if you feel it will still bring in a worthwhile gain. (some cards will just keeping going when you give them more voltage, others just cannot do any better and the voltage is wasted.) remember there is a silicon lottery, you could get a card that does not OC past factory, or you could get a great chip.
