I am happy to use the drive to store Windows or just keep it to store other files. However, this drive is not being detected at all by Bios or Windows.

Bios is latest version for x99 deluxe/3.1 and Windows is version 10 64.

I can't get this sorted out. I've been trying for hours to fix with no luck. Asus support was useless since the sm951 is not on their list of compatible devices.

Thank you sooo much to anyone who can help!

Hey there, SuperSara.

Perhaps it might really be incompatible for some reason, although this is not very likely. What have you tried so far? Try resetting the BIOS. Even though you have the newest version, resetting it might fix the issue. Also, (this would be a more difficult task probably) find a computer with a motherboard that has the same slot/socket in order to be able to connect the drive and see if it's properly recognized, so that you can either confirm or rule out the possibility that the drive might be faulty. You could also contact the SSD manufacturer's customer support as well, to see if they can offer you some advice.

Hope that helps.

Same story here with the 950 pro. Tried everything...anly 2 time i got it recognized by my current installation but randomly desappeared freezing the PC. Never seen in BIOS or from bootable USB UEFI windows 10 pendrive

YOU might try scrolling thru the threads over on the asus mobo support forum
https://vip.asus.com/forum/topic.aspx?elitepost=0&SLanguage=en-us&board_id=1&page_size=20&page=3&count=194911

there have been more than few threads with folks with the x99 mobo wanting assist in getting set up, and the mods have posted links to the installation procedure and bios settings

btw that link is to page 3 of that forum, the first 2.5 pages are "stickies"
