hey guys i have the cool master nepton 240m id like to do push/pull what fans are better then
http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/case-fan/silencio-fp-120-pwm/ Silencio FP 120 PWM
its hard to find an other set of those fans so i was thinking to just upgrade and get 4. i have a red and black themed case but dont matter tomuch if it keeps my cpu cool

Usually people would go for what i think was the Noctua nf-f12s.
i have also heard that the new EK Vardar or the Gentle Typhoon fans were also good. (they are just hard to find.)

The vardar f4's are supposed to be pretty good. A little expensive though when you're considering 4 of them, comes out to around $80. Not sure what shipping would be from ncixus, you'd have to create an account and login.

Push/pull may be a bit overkill if it's a standard radiator and not a thick radiator, especially with the higher static pressure of the vardars. It reaches a point of diminishing returns where you can only suck and blow so much ambient air across a radiator before you're just making noise.

That is very true.

Not trying to discourage people from doing push/pull, it can help in some cases. Hate to suggest people spend a ton of money for little performance improvement though and in the case of the nepton 240m it's roughly a $100 cooler. Adding 4 vardars nearly doubles the cost of the cooler and in the end leaves a slightly better performing aio. The 240m is only 27mm thick where something like a monsta 240mm radiator is 80mm thick and a single series of push or pull may not get the air flowing completely through it very efficiently.

Here's a benchmark done on that cooler by modders inc. When overclocked, the standard testing fan they used in push only kept an average of 60.7c and a max of 83.5c. Using the same standard fans in a push/pull setup, same overclock, the average was 60.1 and the max was 82.9. Not even a full degree of improvement and in the case of the vardars (for example) $40 wasted on less than 1c of cooling performance. Their testing fan was the enermax twister 120.
