Ultra is not a brand you'll find recommended here, their quality is all over the board. As a brand, Ultra has the dubious honor of being at Tier 5 (the lowest tier) on the
Tom's PSU tier list 2.0 to which the following is noted
"Tier Five
Avoid IMMEDIATELY. These units are highly unsafe to use. No such protections added, very thin gauge wiring used, false advertising and too much to list. Reference to a higher tiered unit for a better, money saving and a much safer unit. For your safety's sake, please don't order or pick one up for use in your system. These units are a potential fire hazard and could even kill you, let alone your system."
In looking at the specs shown for the Ultra LS V2 600W, I find that it provides 1 PCIe connector, that is a configuration I would expect to find from a 400W PSU, I would expect (and want) 2 - 4 PCIe connectors from something that is suppose to provide 600W. With one PCIe only, the PSU is effectively limiting itself to about 400W-500W. That configuration alone makes me think something's just not "right" about this "600W" PSU.
