I'm looking for a "once and final" power supply. My current is an EVGA 80+Gold 750w, and apparently (according to every tech forum on the face of the internet)... every power supply is ABSOLUTE TRASH unless it's a specific model of Corsair, or Seasonic.

How is this even possible? How can every single company aside from 2 provide nothing but trash power supplies, and continue to make profit, while earning good ratings across the board?
... well that's beside the point.

I'm looking for a power supply to end power supplies.
I only run a single GPU, an i7 4790k (moderate OC) and a max of 4 HDD + 2 SSD.

I don't need more than 850w. Ever.

Since apparently, I can't seem to choose a "quality" power supply, I'm all ears to listen to the community as to what IS a QUALITY power supply.
I'm looking for a specific make/model of a 80platinum PSU.

Solution
EVGA P2. Best and cheapest at that price / quality level. I have 2x P2 1000W and love them both. Also any SeaSonic or SuperFlower built unit will always be excellent. The G2 is a VERY good unit and one of the best ever reviewed by JonnyGuru. Any unit that gets 9.5+ from JonnyGuru is going to be excellent. http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story6&reid=380

You will be fine running a single 650w unit with your specs unless you have a R9 295X2

Ty for the response :)
It's funny... where are all the power supply fanboys now?
They're ALWAYS around to tell rookie computer builders that their PSUs are trash- but when you ask which one is the BEST, they never are around.

Tired of fankids.
