I decided it was time to clean my GPU since it was building up dust so I took my brush and took off the GPU only and brushed every dust off then when I plugged it back in.

All my games and the games from 2007's which I could run all smoothly second by second dropping frames until to about 20 fps. I want to cry as I've almost tried everything in my power to fix and to no avail. It seems cleaning it did more harm than good.

Any help?

Okay so after loads of crying internally and despair I tried for the heck of it to dismantle everything and put everything back. then I noticed that my 2 ram sticks were weird to me. they were bulkier than usual so I pressed hard and lo and behold it clicked and locked into place.

I was too sad at that point and wasn't expecting anything to change but to my surprise it booted up and ran all my games 60 fps. It is finally fixed.

Thank you everyone

You can try that, but i was referring to the fact that it may be 'power deprived'
The pcie power cable coming from your power supply may be unseated or faulty, try unplugging it and plugging it back in.

Hmmm. do you have any other pcie power connectors you can try with?
You can also try optimizing your game settings in your graphics drivers...

Other than that, i have no idea.

Now that you lost your fear of playing with PC parts may i suggest upgrading the PC, get an SSD and a new GPU.
