How Many cores i realy have?

Hello!

I have an AMD FX 6350 6core CPU. I was curios about my CPU temperature so i checked it with the Task Manager. The temperature was fine but it was strange that is have 6 Logical cores and 3 cores. When i do nothing only 2 processors working but when i play a game or watch a HD movie the cpu start another 2 processor. So 2 processor always shut down from the 6.

There is something wrong with my CPU? And why it show i only have 3 core processor (instead of 6 core) and why i have 6 Logical processor?

Windows views it as a 3 core with 6 threads, some people view it as a 3 core,6 thread. Others, including amd, view it as a 6 core, 6 thread cpu. This question really comes from how you look at amds architecture. People dispute that its a true 6 core cpu. Whether it says 3 core 6 thread or not, you do have a 6350 that is working properly.
